Early Life and Education

Brittany Ashworth was born in Lancashire, England, in 1989, and grew up with her brother, Paris. From a young age, she enjoyed dressing up, storytelling, and pretending to be different characters. At the age of six, she joined a theater workshop and began performing on local stages and touring with productions. After graduating from high school, Ashworth pursued a degree in English and literature at Oxford University.

Film Career

Ashworth made her British television debut at the age of seven, appearing in local shows. Her first official film credit was in the 2003 adaptation of "Sons and Lovers." Before finishing school, she starred in several more British television films and series. After entering Oxford, she focused on her studies and acted less frequently.

Upon graduating with honors, Ashworth landed a supporting role in the 2015 supernatural thriller "The Conjuring: The Hallows." Her breakout role came in the 2017 action-thriller "Accident Man," where she played a skilled assassin. She also had a small uncredited cameo in Guy Ritchie's crime drama "The Gentlemen" in 2019.

Breakthrough and Physical Roles

In 2022, Ashworth starred in the thriller "On the Edge" as a rock climber who witnesses her friend's murder and goes on the run. Her previous experience with rock climbing with her brother made her well-suited for the physically demanding role. She performed many of the stunts herself and expressed satisfaction with her performance.

Television and Film Differences

Ashworth has worked in television, independent films, and Hollywood blockbusters. She says that television has a hectic schedule with little room for procrastination, while independent films can have long shooting days but allow for more improvisation. In contrast, major studios like Miramax and Warner Bros. have large budgets and tightly structured scripts.

Personal Life

In her personal life, Ashworth enjoys reading, traveling, horseback riding, and fitness. She is also passionate about culture, attending London exhibitions and pursuing photography. The actress is known for her height of 161 cm (5'3").

Current Projects and Future Aspirations

Ashworth continues to work on upcoming film projects. She has also written screenplays for several short films, including one about Gerda Taro, the first female war photographer and journalist. She aspires to bring her own ideas to life on screen.
